As an Australian citizen I’ve become very concerned about the amount of control the Yanks have over key aspects of our economy, our military, and our politics.

With a whopping $1.36 trillion of total stock investments and $230 billion in direct investment, the U.S.A. basically control a very large section of our economy.

Then, we have the Yankee military interfering right across the top end of Australia. Darwin has a 2500 troop rotation of US marines.

North West Cape, near Exmouth in WA, (Harold E Holt Communications Base) is a U.S. ship and submarine communications base integral to the US war machine in the Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea.

Likewise WA and the Northern Territory have airfield bases, Tindal, Curtis, Learmonth and Scherger jointly used with the US.

There is also Force West (a US submarine rotational force under AUKUS) based at HMAS Stirling, near Perth.

Although these are not exclusively Yankee bases they are defacto along with Pine Gap, near Alice Springs, the US world wide Communication Base.

If this is not bad enough they seem to control our parliamentary system too. Our politicians, Liberal and Labor, jump to the tune of the Yanks, as we saw this week with Albanese, the Labor Prime Minister, sending our military into the illegal war in the Middle East.

Technically we may not be considered an occupied country but let’s call it what it is, a defacto USA controlled, occupied country.

To add pain to injury they rip all our resources off us too. We make more money on beer excise ($2.7billion) as opposed to ($1.5 billion) in gas exports, that the likes of Exxon, Shell and Chevron, to name a few, rip us off by paying next to no royalties and very low company tax.

We are a rich country with the boot of US imperialism firmly on our throats extracting every ounce of wealth they can suck out of Australia.

What we need is an independent Australia with an independent foreign policy and nationalised resources so Australia reaps the benefits of its resources, not these Yankee multinational parasites.
