The election of Trump for a second term reflects the growing discontent of the American public. With no real alternative the people have turned once again to Trump and his false and at times wildly nationalistic policies.

Like a lot of his outrageous policies from his first term in office, (such as I’ll build a wall and make Mexico pay for it), these are just policies designed to play to a public that are looking for answers but are not real solutions to a collapsing economy.

This term we see him come out with statements like I’ll resolve the Ukraine war in 24 hours and we need to stop the wars and concentrate on making America great again. Making America great again under his leadership and direction is a pipe dream.

The two party system is designed to look after the rich at the expense of the working class regardless of what party wins office. The two party system works well in other countries too for the ruling class, like Britain and here in Australia.

Since Trump’s re-election he has surrounded himself with fellow billionaires and neo conservatives with Elon Musk as one of his main backers. Musk, blurred with the visions of what so much political power can bring him, has been on a whirlwind tour of interference in other countries, France, Germany and in particular Britain.

In Britain Musk has been pushing the far right nationalist agenda in line with Trump’s divisive policies. He has been pushing for the likes of Tommy Robinson as a better alternative to Nigel Farage. Robinson leads the fascist English Defence League responsible for race and immigration riots in the last week in Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Hull and Blackpool.

Musk has also been promoting Alternative for Germany far-right candidate Alice Weidel and French far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

With Australian elections coming up he will surely be interfering in what ever capacity he can. Since his purchase of Twitter, now X, he has allowed prominent neo Nazis like Thomas Sewell Joel Davis and Blair Cottrell, previously banned on Twitter, a loud prominent voice on X.

These fascists were some of the supporters and organisers of National Socialist network a far-right pro Nazi group that marched on Australia Day in Adelaide resulting in 16 arrests. Among the 16 were people from Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

With the two party systems failing the people and only delivering for the rich, people become more and more desperate for answers and are disillusioned with the two main sellout parties. The ruling class see an opportunity to pull the ace card out the pack. The third alternative that can serve their purposes. Playing the nationlist card and turning the people against each other while they continue to pillage.

This far right movement can develop into full on fascism if the working class is not organised against its development.
