Communists, patriots and all progressive people will stand with the Blak Nation senator, Lidia Thorpe as she called out the true nature of sovereignty to Charles Windsor, the English king, in Canberra last week.
Unlike the oily, fawning crowd of politicians, “celebraties” and moguls; Senator Thorpe chose to raise the banner of (unceded) sovereignty and the crimes of the first colonial power, Britain. The present king’s family was enriched by the slave trade from Africa to the Carribean and later from the Indian and Pacific colonies. The price for this wealth was dispossession and genocide of millions across “the Empire”
Its important to raise the issue of sovereignty at a time when under the cover of security silence, Australia has ceded economic, political and military independence and sovereignty to a cabal of multi-national corporations under the leash of U.S. imperialism.
