Europe, since the Russia-Germany Nord Stream gas pipelines were blown up in 2022, are getting seriously bruised by the US with energy costs. This is putting great pressure on their economies with industrial decline. The US multinationals and billionaires crack the whips and European countries and their multinationals and billionaires conform.
The US has over 150,000 troops in Europe, 35,000 alone in Germany, 20,000 in Italy. All European countries have US bases. They are militarily occupied, both the vanquished from WW2 such as Germany, Austria and Italy, and the occupied like France, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece etc, and the former Soviet satellites like Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania etc. Britain too has many US bases, and like Australia, some of them are supposedly ‘jointly-run’ bases. Europe is increasing defence budgets and reducing services for the people.
Ukraine is more or less defeated, there are not many troops left. They have reduced the draft to 18 years and extended it to 60 years. There a lot on mercenaries paid for by the US and Europe. Russia is digging the Ukrainians and the mercenaries out of the remaining parts of Donbas.
And when the Ukrainians attack Moscow and St Petersburg with drones, Kiev and other Ukrainian cities are being relentlessly pounded back.
The US, and their sidekick Europe, tried to defeat Russia economically and militarily through Ukraine. They failed. They planned to use Ukraine to expand to Moscow, overthrow the Putin Government and divide Russia up into many regions. This attempt to overthrow the Russian State and smash Russian sovereignty has collapsed.
It really comes down to the US now, they know they’ve been defeated. They’ve got a decision to make. They know Europe is very weak, they will do what they are told by the US. Do the Yanks want to continue being nuisance value against Russia or do they want to make money? Do they want to use other methods to try and gain influence in that region and with Russia?
Drone warfare in Ukraine has changed a lot of things. For over four years in Ukraine automated systems have predominated with Russian technology having a distinct advantage. All countries have taken note. The Australian army has been training with live footage from Ukraine, trench warfare has been hell, swarms of drones raining down on troops from both sides but particularly on Ukrainian forces.

The US and other countries considered whether direct military forces were to be used in Ukraine, (it was a live issue in 2022/23). They decided against it and just as well. We did not want our boys sent to Ukraine! Just as well Australia didn’t go down that rabbit hole.
But if the master had said ‘GO’ we would have followed them in like in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Which just goes to show the Yanks were completely wary about sending ground troops in to Ukraine, and likewise with Iran. (Russia’s nuclear capability was a big deterrent as well with the Ukraine War.)
And the problem of a subservient ruling class here in Australia still remains. But it is getting harder for them to pull the wool over people’s eyes as far as committing Aussie troops to a big war. It would stir up plenty of opposition. This is what the imperialists are scared about.
That is bubbling along below the surface all the time and is what the US ruling class worries about and plans for, ‘can they carry the people with them?’ Vietnam teaches a lot, first they had a lot of people onside, then opposition grew and grew, and the ruling class buckled at home. On the battlefield they lost anyway with US forces very demoralised fighting an unjust war against the victorious Vietnam forces and people. The imperialists want to avoid a repeat of that like avoiding the plague.
The project of Israel is running into heavy going. And that’s the thing with the resistance forces and their use of guerrilla tactics – keep taking out the enemy, make them bleed.

The Lebanese resistance is defending their country and punishing the invader big time. The use of drones are essential weaponry for the Lebanese Resistance. They are relentlessly attacking Israeli bases that have been set up in Lebanon.
It looks very much like the US attack on Iran was a diversion for Israel to attack Lebanon, grab more land and demolish villages with a view to settle it with Israelis.
Israeli weapons, especially bombers and tanks, armoured dozers, excavators, diesel tankers, communications, automated systems, are all supplied by the US to Israeli ports for the invasion of Lebanon.
The strategy of attacking Iran is to keep the Iranians focused on defending themselves and attempting to degrade their military and economic capabilities, as Israel gets a leg up to carve out extra territory up to the Litani River in Lebanon. The Iranians and Hezbollah realised that all along.
And all this diversionary rubbish from commentators that Trump had no plan with Iran, it is and always was about Israel, and creating the right conditions to attempt a successful invasion of Lebanon, and to try and weaken Iran.
Likewise the bullshit about Netanyahu telling the US what to do. The tail does not wag the dog.
Netanyahu is their creation and Israel was a British/US project even before 1948, (the Nakba) when Israel was declared a country and Palestinian resistance grew.
Israel’s economy is totally ruined revenue-wise and is financed by US Imperialism. Israel’s industry and tourism have collapsed.
Their so-called ‘independent’ military is totally financed and supplied by the US. Israel is the American base in western Asia and the eastern Mediterranean. The facade of an ‘independent’ Israel is wearing mighty thin.
And against all the US and Israel wish-list plans, struggle and resistance grows.
