A clamour of diverse voices in Australia is rising against the total integration of the Australian military ; its policies, posture and facilities into the the U.S. war machine. This integration is facilitated by a bevy of U.S. funded think-tanks , university faculties, ex-politicians and ex-public servants as well as media steering Australia into a lock-step colony of the USA.
The voices include grass-roots peace organisation, trade unions, politcal parties like the Greens and groups within the ALP as well as former politicians who discover their backbone once they leave the cabinet room. The Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN) is a grassroots organisation that is one of these voices.
