The Chinese comrades have learnt tremendous lessons about what went wrong in the Soviet Union and about correctly applying Marxism to the conditions of one’s own country.
This is clearly shown by the important 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China that was held last week from October 16-20. There is a stark contrast compared to the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1956 with the betrayal by the new leader Khrushchev of the Soviet peoples’ revolution. After 39 years since the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 there was a disastrous turning by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union which ultimately resulted in the complete collapse of the Soviet Union and ‘communist’ leadership in 1991.
The CCP with 73 years since the 1949 Revolution, is still going strong and giving great leadership to the Chinese people and to all the peoples of the world. The Chinese comrades show Marxists all over the world the invaluable lesson of summing up the objective conditions in one’s own country and applying Marxism to solve its problems.
