76 years of struggle in Palestine
As the Palestinian intifada begins its long ride up the crest of a wave of its liberation, the magnificent resolve of the Palestinian people, led by many forces, provides inspiration for independence and sovereignty movements around the world.
Despite facing the combined military and economic weight of both USA and Israel as well as a host of suppliers from the western world including the UK and Australia, the Palestinian intifada has not bowed.
Israel has implemented a total media blackout in Palestine. It has worldwide multi-media, multi-lingual propaganda machine- the Hasbara, as well as zionist compliant media in Australia, Europe, the UK and the US. Yet visions of the holocaust in Gaza, and other occupied lands have shocked the world.
This has also stirred people around the world. For many people, on all continents have identified the Palestinian struggle as theirs. Going back nearly three generations,vision of the Vietnamese liberation war also lit a flame in the hearts of many. The vision of their heroic defence, despite the huge asymmetry of military power in both struggles, educated millions about the naked fist of US imperialism.
Yet as the millions of Palestinians pour back into their lands calling “We will not bow down, we will never submit” they face hospitals, schools, universities, cultural sites and residential areas destroyed in the Israeli blitzkreig.
The Palestinian resistance has inflicted huge blows on the Israeli regime. Militarily they struck major Israeli cities, knocked out armoured vehicles and forced the IDF into house to house fighting, exacting a great physical and moral toll on the Zionists.
Israel’s economy has also taken a blow with capital flight out of Israel, businesses closed for war, large areas of southern Israel only now repopulated following an evacuation over a year ago. As well as desertion, there was a an exodus of wealthy individuals and highly skilled specialists. Israel is not a safe place for Jews either. And the sophisticated zionist PR machine that peddled the lies about the most moral army, the only democratic’ state in the Middle East cannot contain the vast level of revulsion for Israel that now exists across the world.
Provocations in Australia
In Australia, a series of dirty tricks or black flag provocations have occurred. The purpose of which is to create sympathy for Israel by attacks on Jewish places of worship and neighbourhoods. The state and federal governments having taken the bait, created police task forces and new laws against anti-semitic terror.
The mainstream media are both feeding and devouring in the frenzy.”Unknown foreign criminal puppeteers” have recruited sad-sack members of the lumpen-proletariat to daub or burn synagoges and cars. A caravan with decades old mining explosives is discovered; massive news speculation follows. Then a Murdoch media stunt at an Enmore eatery. Using a known zionist provocateur, Ofir Birenbaum (who walked in wearing the Star of David) together with a Daily Telecrap reporter tried to provoke a sensational story at the cafe which proudly displays the Palestinian flag. There was no story as staff failed to take the bait. A complete backfire.
Like Israeli politicians, the local zionist supporters scream Australia is unsafe for Jews, the war and terror in Palestine makes it unsafe for Palestinians.
The struggle of the heroic Palestinian people continues and they are more united than ever. The road may be tortuous with many twists and turns but victory will be theirs.
