Conscript Diplomat Humanitarian Internationalist Patriot
2023 sees the loss of another great patriot , Bruce Haigh, who had a distinguished career as a diplomat, most notably in apartheid-era South Africa. There, unlike so many other diplomats, he supported the liberation struggle and befriended Steve Biko and secretly drove noted anti-apartheid newspaper editor Donald Wood to safety in Lesotho.
Bruce Haigh wrote extensively about world politics and especially of Australia’s loss of sovereignty and status as a a vassal of the U.S.A .
