Increasingly a diverse coalition is building on a number of fronts against Yankee war plans, against AUKUS, and against Australia’s status as a U.S. dominion. They confront the forces of the state, defence establishment, and the ideologues that are in lockstep with U.S. imperialism in Australia.
This coalition comprises peace activists,unionists, academics, clergy and former politicians. Usually the latter come to their senses after they leave parliament. Paul Keating is amongst the strongest critics of these policies. Malcolm Fraser was a Liberal Prime Minister who after years of retirement warned Australians about U.S. imperialism in his book “Dangerous Allies”.
