The decline of the US will not be pretty. Two recent desperate acts illustrate the US trying to halt their decline: The Tariff War initiated from March 2025 and the Iran War from March 2026.
These are extreme and reckless levers US imperialism tries to use. The Tariff War to try to economically dominate all countries; the Iran War to dominate the world’s energy, its oil and gas, to also strategically dominate the region and to stop nations controlling their own resources.

The US is desperate to maintain hegemony in the Middle East and promote its base of Israel, which it sees as the lynchpin to control this region.

The heroic Iranian peoples and other peoples in the region are in fierce struggle against the US Imperialists for independence, sovereignty and control of their own resources.

Even the name of Trump’s MAGA Movement (Make America Great Again) is a recognition of the decline of the US and is a despairing attempt to alter the trajectory of that decline.
They are frantically trying to rule in the old imperialist and unilateralist way. They are wildly, rashly trying to alter the inevitable course of history.

The world is moving to a multipolar order and the imperialists headed by the US can’t accept it.
With the biggest military machine in history, over 700 US bases worldwide, they think: ‘why won’t people and countries do as they’re told?’ ‘Goddamnit!’ So they try and use naked military power to rule.
Economically their multinationals and billionaires are insatiable – they try to squeeze every drop out of established markets and scour the world for new markets, including countries and regions that have been off limits to them for many years. Their attempted economic hegemony is enforced by the military of the US imperialists and their allies.
The sun is setting on the American Empire, with its long, slow decline. They rail against the wind, against their decline and aggressively try to maintain dominance, hegemony, subordination, but the decline is inexorable. On the other hand the rise of a multipolar world continues and gathers pace.

Countries want independence, nations want freedom and sovereignty, and the right to control their own affairs, and to have sustainable development for the people. This world wide phenomenon comes up smack bang against the old imperialist order headed by the US.
This contradiction will intensify and what we are seeing now is only the preliminary stages of a complete overthrow of the imperialist system.
In reality it is the major political contradiction in the world today, summarised as between the US imperialists and the world’s people.
We can track the movement of this contradiction particularly since WW2 with the decline of the old empires of Britain, Germany, Italy, France and Japan, and their subservience to the newer imperialist empire of the US.
At the same time since the end of WW2 in 1945 we see the strengthening of independence movements, new nations are born particularly in Asia, Africa and South America.
We also see the struggle for sovereignty and independent nationhood in the older industrialised countries and fierce struggles, to varying degrees, by them against subservience to the US empire.
We see fierce resistance by Russia to the encroachment by US-led NATO to their south and western borders, and their struggle for the right to control their own resources.
We see the spectacular rise of China under correct leadership fulfilling its true potential for sustainable development for the Chinese people, together with their solidarity and commitment to other peoples and nations of the world for better standards of living. Their esteem and respect grows daily.
China is the biggest country of the world’s people which is achieving full independence, sovereignty, nationhood and sustainable development for the people, and as such it is a beacon.
It is part of a worldwide stream of peoples and nations who are controlling their own destinies.
Australia too sits in this stream for the struggle for complete independence, full sovereignty, consummated nationhood and controlling our own affairs. There is growing resistance to subordination and subservience to the US Imperialists, and their multinationals, and their bases in Australia.

Australia’s ruling class is in for a bumpy ride hanging on to the coattails of US Imperialism, and dragged into their endless wars, while they decline.
The world is entering a new era. Great changes in individual countries and in the world order are occurring.
Each country has to steer its own path to nationhood, sovereignty, independence, freedom, sustainable development for their people, and to REVOLUTION!
We need to fight for an Australian People’s Democratic Anti Imperialist Republic!
